Mig (GMAW) & Tubular Wires (FCAW)

Mig welding (GMAW) is a semi-automatic or automatic arc welding process that uses a continuously-fed consumable wire and constant-voltage.  FCAW is an alternative to shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) when high deposition rates are required.

Some Gas shielded and Flux Cored Wires can be used to weld through rust, mill scale, and light oil without pre-cleaning.  You can use Self-shielding flux-cored Tubular Wires to weld carbon and stainless steels.  Hardfacing Tubular Wires can be used to restore dimensions of worn surfaces.  And, you can use Tubular Wire to join most types of mild steel.

WestAir stocks Mig and Tubular wires in the AWS Classification, diameters and alloys you need for all of your jobs and projects. We also provide MIL-SPEC tested materials with actual certification.  At WestAir, we will help you find Mig & Tubular Wires from leading manufacturers like, ESAB, Harris, Hobart and Lincoln Electric.
