WestAir Gases & Equipment Inc. Builds a New State-of-the-art Facility to Serve the Fresno, Central Valley Area
WestAir is pleased to put down roots in Fresno, California with a new, state-of-the-art facility located at 2929 E. Dorothy Avenue. Businesses and hobbyists throughout the Central Valley can continue to take advantage of the services they enjoyed with Melo's Gas & Gear, while gaining the products and expertise WestAir has delivered to the Southwest U.S. for over 45 years.
The new 18,000 square foot facility will sit on over 2 acres of property and will include a 4,000 square foot retail area, a welder repair area, a large warehouse, as well as high pressure and liquid gas filling stations. WestAir expects to add several positions to support its continued growth in Fresno.
The new building has been designed to be a “Green Facility” which will meet or exceed the current California Green Standards. With concern for a sustainable environment, WestAir Gases & Equipment Inc. utilized processes that are environmentally responsible and resource-efficient throughout a building's lifecycle: from siting to design, construction, maintenance, renovation, and demolition. In addition, the new WestAir Fresno facility will be equipped with 520 solar panels and up to 30 “Solar-Tubes”. Solar-Tubes provide natural light and reduce the need for artificial lighting in critical areas of the facility.
