Sulfur HexafluorideNeed compressed and various mixtures of sulfur hexafluoride (SF6)?Its thermal stability and high dielectric strength make SF6 well suited for insulating and cooling applications. Since it’s a poor conductor of electrical current, it is also well suited to high voltage power applications in electricity sub stations, electrical plants and equipment such as electron microscopes and linear accelerators. Sulfur hexafluoride is also useful for leak detection and blanketing when casting magnesium parts. |
